Maraging steel coded K3362, with composition of Fe-8.76Ni-5.98Cu-0.26Nb-0.06Co-0.04C-0.04Cr (wt%) was investigated. Optical microscopy and scarining electron microscopy were employed to study the microstructure after austenitization at 1050 deg * C and water quenching, followed by ageing at 450 deg * C X-ray diffraction (XRD) was applied to evaluate the formation of retained or reverted austenite. Hardness and charpy impact toughness of the steel were measured. From hardness test, significant increase in hardness value was observed after the heat treatments. No austenite was detected in XRD, but copper as observed after the austenitization treatment at 1050 deg * C for 1.5 hours followed by ageing at 450 deg * C for 2 hours. The ductile-brittle transition temperature of the steel was found to be brittle before ageing and quite tough after ageing as observed at longer time of ageing.

The curved bar apparatus is the application of Castigliano's theorem and is used to study the horizontal and vertical deflections of the curved bar under horizontal and vertical load. The goal is to design and manufacture an apparatus to determine precisely the horizontal and vertical deflection of quarter circular bar, semicircular bar and quarter circular bar with straight base. This also includes the preparation of laboratory experiments sheets. Two dial gauges are firmly fixed at a fixed support in horizontal and vertical direction. The supports for the dial gauges are rigid and firm and provide means of alignment in horizontal and vertical direction and hence the reading for dial gauges should be precise and accurate. The values for horizontal and vertical deflection of each curved bar are predicted very close to the theoretical prediction.

The material available in ITB store is used for the fabricated. The friction belt apparatus has the main components such as frame; pulley, bearing, hangers, masses; motor, and belts. The apparatus is tested under constant load at different angles of wrap to determine the coefficient of kinetic friction. The results for the coefficient of kinetic friction are then compared with the theoretical values. The graphical presentation comparison is made to study between angle of wrap and the tension ratio.

There are different types of trees available in the huge rainforest of Brunei Darussalam and one of such type is firewood. 5 samples local firewood collected are Aru, Kalimpapa, Rambutan, Sebubu and Suma. This project has successfully done tests against these 5 samples of firewood. Tests included the density, moisture content, ash content, bomb calorimeter and gas detection test. Through total rating of different properties tested, Suma is rated the best firewood out of the 5 different firewood.

The fibers that have been extracted from bamboo and sugarcane plants were mixed with Portland cement and water to produce fiber-reinforced cement composite cylinders. A pure cement cylinder without the inclusion of any fiber was prepared as a control sample. To investigate the effect of the treatment of the fibers, some of the fibers are mechanically treated and some are left untreated. Bamboo reinforced cement composite cylinders are then produced with different loading by weight of both treated and untreated fibers.
The scope of this project includes lab experiments on samples of bamboo and sugarcane fiber-reinforced cement composites placed on a hot plate. The variation of temperature at different points of the samples are recorded until steady-state was achieved. The temperature difference from the readings was then used to calculate the thermal conductivity of the composites.
This investigation allowed the correlation between the thermal conductivity and the fiber loading of the cement composite to be made. The effect of treatment of fibers on the thermal conductivity of the cement composite was also studied.
Increasing the load has a negative effect on the thermal conductivity of the treated and untreated fiber composite, whereas the mechanical treatment of the fiber enhanced the thermal conductivity value of the sugarcane fiber cement composite. Although the same effect of fiber loading was observed for the as-received bamboo fiber composite, the fiber loading effect has the opposite effect towards the treated fiber composites where the thermal conductivity increases as the fiber loading increases. Furthermore, instead of enhancing the thermal conductivity of the composite, the treatment has the contradictory effect of lowering the composites' thermal conductivity in comparison to the as-received.

This study aims to examine employees' emotions towards organizational change happened within the three telecommunication organizations in Brunei. Most of the existing literature pointed out that any organizational change affects the employees' emotions with their level of support and attitudes. It was also suggested that having interventions can reduce the adverse effects of emotional employees to better cope and adapt to any changes in the organizations. A cross-sectional study was used to attain the study's aim to examine the employees' emotions towards organizational change. Specifically, a mixed approach was used; quantitative data was collected using survey questionnaires to recognize and understand the employees' emotions with their level of support and attitudes towards change as well as to identify the coping and adapting strategies; also, qualitative data was collected using formal focus group interviews to have richer and in-depth information on the employees' emotions, attitudes, and their emotional management towards change. This study found strong significant relationships between the level of support and job attitudes, emotions and job attitudes towards organizational change, and interventions with job attitudes and level of support. This study also found out that the employees who were having mixed and negative emotions tend to resist change while employees who were having positive emotions tend to support change.

This study examines emotional intelligence's (El) influence over sensemaking and creativity. Scholarly research has suggested that employees with stronger emotional control are able to perform better at their workplace. Scholars have proposed to do
more focus studies on El with creativity because creative behaviours were often
triggered by emotional experiences of individuals while many sensemaking studies focused on situations where the emotional reactions felt by individuals responding to
the environments the individuals are in. The influence of demographic variables of gender, age, work experience and education level over El are explored. This study
investigates if El can directly influence sensemaking and creativity. Correspondingly, this study investigates if sensemaking can directly influence creativity and mediate the relationship between El and creativity. Quantitative method was employed to test all
the hypotheses. T-test and ANOVA were used for the demographic variable relationship with El. WEIS measure was used to measure the employees' level of El
and Zhou and George's instrument was used to measure creativity. Sensemaking was measured using a self-developed instrument based on Weick's seven sensemaking properties. Correlations and hierarchical regression were used to analyse the relationships between El, sensemaking and creativity. Hayes PROCESS method was
used to test sensemaking mediating the relationship between El and creativity. All the
variables were found positively related to each other. El was found to have a positive
impact on sensemaking and creativity. Sensemaking was found to influence creativity and did mediate the relationship of El and creativity. These findings suggest that El
does have a significant role in promoting workplace sensemaking and creativity.
