According to the statistics of Brunei Darussalam car accidents is keep on increasing every year. The impatient of bad driver behavior is one of the leading factors of car accidents due to road raging on the road. In 2017 the death cause by car accident had increased to 71 percent. This is very sad to hear. Some firms in Brunei already involved and taken some initiatives to put awareness regarding the car accident in Brunei but the initiatives were only focus on educating the new young generation by spoken. This is where my idea come from, to create an interactive virtual film as a tool for the audience to try the simulation of car accident as realistic as I can. Virtual reality can immerse the audience and can put more impact in terms of emotions and mood when they are in the artificial world that I am going to create.

Road surface condition is seen as one of the most important factors that affect the safety of a land transport mode. Although various researchers used different measures of pavement surface condition, only a few focused on how road roughness, particularly quantified by International Roughness Index (IRI), may contribute to Road Traffic Accidents (RTA) occurrences. This thesis presents an analysis of the influence of IRI and other various road properties statistically and spatially on the crash risk on a high-traffic volume and high-speed highway section in Brunei Darussalam. A Negative Binomial regression (NBREG) method has been used to model the RTA occurrences and with that, an RTA prediction model was developed. Kernel Density Estimation Plus (KDE+) method was selected to identify high number of RTA with high crash risk along the concerned road. The outcome of the analysis has shown that the IRI values have a weak correlation with the observed number of all types of RTA given that other explanatory variables are included into the regression model. Limitations of the statistical regression acquired are discussed and recommendations to refine the selected variables and analysis methods are provided.

Roundabouts are a common form of road junction and safety analysis is a component in the design and operation of roundabout. This study seeks to evaluate the extent to which traffic conflicts identified through a calibrated microscopic simulation model correspond to real-world traffic conflicts on a roundabout. To achieve this, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and video analytics were employed to collect and extract real-world traffic data, including vehicle trajectories on a local roundabout. The collected data were then compared with the outputs of a calibrated microsimulation model, with traffic conflicts analysed using the Surrogate Safety Assessment Model (SSAM).
The findings indicate that the number of conflicts identified from real-world trajectories is higher than the number of conflicts identified from a calibrated simulation model with a 51.8% error. These differences persisted despite adjustments to key parameters and sensitivity to vehicle position changes in successive video frames. By comparing with results from other researchers, this is thought to be due to the limitation of microsimulation model to replicate actual conflict occurrence mechanisms despite calibration. The difference in conflict frequency may stem from the simulation model's adherence to collision-avoidance principles through car-following models and priority rules, potentially compromising its ability to accurately represent naturalistic road user behaviour.
However, it is also important to note that this study focused solely on critical gap as the input parameter calibrated that uses entry capacity as a performance measure. A review of existing literature suggests that additional calibration parameters could significantly influence the identification and quantification of traffic conflicts. These include queue lengths, SSAM threshold values, safety distance factors, and desired deceleration rates.
Future research could explore the impact of calibrating these parameters to enhance the accuracy and reliability of microsimulation models in capturing real-world traffic conflicts.
