It develops the oral and writing skills required to communicate with clients, colleagues, subordinates and superiors in a variety of management situations. Particularly useful for short, intensive courses, Managing People can be adapted to suit different course lengths.<br/>The STUDENT'S BOOK consists of 10 units. Each of the units 1-8 focuses on a major managerial activity such as customer relations, staff recruitment or report writing, while units 9 and 10 review and extend the language skills developed in previous units.<br/>The management topics are realistically presented through talks, dialogues, and case histories with accompanying documents.<br/>Students practise using new vocabulary and expressions in a variety of pairwork and role play situations and writing activities.<br/>A grammar appendix is provided for student reference.<br/>A CASSETTE containing the Talks, Dialogues and Additional Expressions accompanies the course.<br/>The TEACHER'S BOOK provides a detailed guide to presenting the course with supplementary material to ensure that the teacher meets students' specific needs.
