General note ABSTRACT
Understanding the dynamics of carbon dioxide emissions, and agricultural exports, local revenue, capital expenditure is crucial for modeling economic growth and implementing effective policies in Southeast Asian countries, particularly Indonesia. This thesis provides important insights for economic modeling and policy planning by employing econometric models to investigate interdependencies and regional economic disparities. Specifically, it explores the contribution of local revenue and capital expenditure to regional economic growth in Indonesia by highlighting significant linkages across provinces. To ensure the robustness of the results, various econometric techniques, such as panel unit root tests and cross-sectional dependence tests are employed. The findings reveal that both local revenue and capital expenditure significantly drive economic development, with growth in one region positively influencing neighboring regions.
The thesis also evaluates the positive impact of carbon dioxide emissions on agricultural production in Southeast Asia. The results suggest that, within certain thresholds, increased carbon dioxide levels can enhance agricultural productivity, bearing implications for both environmental and agricultural policies. Additionally, the study confirms the substantial contribution of agricultural exports to both agricultural and overall economic growth in Southeast Asian countries. These findings underscore the importance of improving agricultural export performance through enhanced governance, infrastructure development, and strategic land management.
Overall, this thesis offers valuable insights for policymakers, indicating that targeted fiscal policies, environmental regulations, and support for agricultural exports are essential for fostering balanced and sustainable economic growth in Southeast Asia. The comprehensive analysis of these dynamics, combined with the use of robust econometric methods, contributes meaningfully to the existing literature on regional economic development and agricultural economics, thereby enhancing the accuracy of economic modeling.
