ABSTRACT
The purpose of the research is to investigate the impact of mobile banking on profitability, using Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) as a case. The research aims mainly at assessing the relationship between mobile banking and profitability by comparing the profitability before and after the introduction of mobile banking in BIBD. The study uses a descriptive research design and secondary data collected from the published annual reports of BIBD for the periods from 2008 to 2018 except 2013. The collected data were presented using tables, graphs and charts. It was found that there is likely impact of mobile banking adoption on profitability. The study recommended for BIBD to increase their investment in mobile banking. BIBD should make more active efforts in educating its clients about the benefits of mobile banking to harness more benefits from the adoption of mobile banking.
