ABSTRACT
In the 2nd phase to this project, the main task was to use the extracted information from Fire Dynamics Simulation which is used to calculate the Heat Release Rate, Radiative Heat Flux and Convective Heat Flux and finally calculating the Net Heat Flux. And with that information the sprinklers style is selected accordingly by calculating the temperature that is situated at the sprinklers when the object burnt is placed at different distance. The formula used to calculate the temperature is given by McCaffery's equation. It is found that addressable fire alarm panel is the best option of panels compared to the conventional due to the size of the area covered for the fire and safety system. With the use of AutoCAD, the design for the piping is shown and how many meters of pipes is required to cover the whole mechanical building, with that the cost is then will be decided. Also with the use of AutoCAD, all the placement for the fire suppressors (sprinklers, hose reel, fire extinguishers and etc.) and fire alarms (smoke detectors, breakglass, fire panels and etc.) will be shown in the designs. Previous fire and safety system in the Mechanical Building is re-tested to ensure its validity and a full inspection is done. Findings on the inspection will be shared.
