Abstract
The report concerns about the analysis of the non-Newtonian fluid flow in an eccentric annuli. In many areas of petroleum engineering, accurate predictions of velocity, molecular viscosity and mass flow rate across the annulus are needed. Literature reviews have been much vital and significance in defining and studying the topic to the extent of varying with different parameters. CFD workbench has allowed for the geometry drawing setup as well as the meshing. Furthermore, CFD Fluent is utilized to simulate the flow geometry and visualize the result. It was found that eccentricity with 0.89 provides better cutting transport rather than concentric annulus when the result is examined under the profile of axial velocity, tangential velocity as well as molecular viscosity. Higher rotating sped such as 600 rpm also helps in improvising the result but excessive will only make the transportation of the cuttings to stagnate and disrupts the rotational flow of the fluid.
