Abstract

The purpose of the project is to create a product that can help people to easily alter their mood. Changing the mood of a person has several benefits that includes boosting their productivity, improving social interactions, improving mental health, and so on. During this Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown situation, more people have been physically and mentally affected which resulted in a limited method to overcome the struggles and improve their overall health.

A variety of articles has been researched on to help with determining the preferable outcome and specification of the product. Furthermore, a survey is conducted to find out how people felt during these difficult times and the methods of relieving the stress and maintaining good mental health. A total number of 97 people have participated in the questionnaire.

From the research and questionnaires, the product design specification is set for the most suitable aspect of the product. Furthermore, with this specification, 3 concept design has been generated in which they are evaluated to determine which design is the best. The designs are further developed to produce a final design.

A prototype is made based on the Final Design. Further test will be conducted to determine whether the prototype has achieved its aim and objective. The series of test includes stress test, weight test, and users' feedback on the mood-altering aspect of the prototype based on a group of selected people for testing. To determine that the product is able to alter its user's mood, they will be given a questionnaire to determine their stress level before and after using the prototype. Conducting these tests will decide the evaluation of the prototype.
