This is due to of its wide advantages and benefits in buildings, bridges and other type of structures. Multiple numbers of researches had tried using different types of fibres in various ways together with the addition of adhesives/resins on flexural and shear strengthening of structural members. This report represents the experimental study on strengthening cracked reinforced concrete (RC) beams using Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymers (GFRP) laminates and epoxy injections. The study was carried out on unstrengthen RC beams as control beam and strengthened RC beams with single layer and double layers of the fibre. These fibres were to be attached on the tension surface of the RC beam. The experiment required 9 RC beams which were instrumented and tested under a four-point bending device up to failure of the beams. Theoretical analysis was calculated in order to be compared with experimental results. From the experimental results, double layers of cracked RC beams shows decreased in strength compare to single layer. With the presence of GFRP laminates and epoxy adhesive, the ultimate capacity had increased. These combinations had showed significantly improvement in strength and stiffness of the damaged RC beams. The study also presented the beams failure modes; Dissertation is available in CD and is not for loan referance use; Dissertation (Degree) - Universiti Teknologi Brunei; Includes bibliographical appendices ER -
