One of the factors that could cause damage on the structure is the wave load. In this study, CFD simulation of water wave and its effect on offshore structure is analysed. The objectives of the study are to construct Finite volume Method (FVM) model offshore structure which is a fixed cylindrical structure and simulate it in a two phase environment. Volume of Fluid modelling is done with laminar flow using linear wave theory using ANSYS Workbench and FLUENT software.
