Environmental issues arise from humans carrying out harmful actions that can have a lasting impact on the environment. The harmful actions include littering, polluting the water, polluting the air, and various other actions. Long-term negative effects arise from this, ranging from low cleanliness of the surrounding air to the extinction of animals and plants. Environmental awareness is needed in order to address the issues. By having more people be aware of their actions, the less harmful actions are done towards the environment. In Brunei Darussalam, varieties of initiatives have already been done in order to conserve the environment. However, in order to maintain this environment, awareness is needed to ensure the environment continues to be preserved. To improve and ensure environmental awareness is addressed, environmental education is key for awareness, especially towards the youths and younger generation. The aim of the project is to improve the knowledge on environmental awareness by using a board game with a companion application as an educational tool. In order to achieve the aims and objectives of the project, background study and literature review were done as well as data collecting regarding the environmental education and the effectiveness of using board games as an educational tool. Developing the companion application was done with Unity 2018. Building the board game elements such as the game board and card designs were mostly used with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. As soon as the board game prototype was finished developing, implementation and testing were done and questionnaires were done. Evaluation was done to analyze the data gathered in order to achieve the aims and objectives; Thesis (Degree of Bsc in Internet Computing Network); Includes bibliography references ER -
