This research investigates the influence of self-efficacy as a moderating variable in the relationship between cognitive apprenticeship and the career development of I-ready trainees' in Brunei Darussalam. Drawing on cognitive apprenticeship theory and self-efficacy theory,
the study examines 189 trainees from diverse industries enrolled in the training program. While the findings do not support direct effects of cognitive apprenticeship on career development, they reveal that self-efficacy acts as a significant moderator. The study focuses the critical role of self-efficacy in enhancing career development within training programs, emphasizing theoretical, methodological, and practical implications.
