The concept of women empowerment is perceived differently by the Western and Islamic worlds. Unfortunately, both policymakers and society have failed to correctly acknowledge its significance. Women generally occupy a specific position in family and society, yet they are constantly degraded. This is due to the narrow practice of socio-cultural traditions, patriarchal social systems, and misunderstanding of the texts of the Qur'ân and Sunnah. This book evaluates the diverse nature of women empowerment in the aspects of education, business, politics, decision-making, and social activities from the Qur'ān and Sunnah perspectives. It also examines the main obstacles which obstruct women empowerment in family as well as in society. This book has put forward the notion that both men and women enjoy equal status and position in Islam. The Qur'an and Prophetic traditions negate the role of women as subordinates in family or society. Islam recognizes their potential skills and capabilities which can be utilized by upgrading the quality of family lives and social values. Islam is the only religion that ensured women's rights, positions, and participation in diverse fields is parallel to their male counterparts in both family and society. This book is an attempt to provide some solutions to the challenges of women empowerment from Qur'anic perspective to ensure their participation in family and society without compromising their faith, chastity, and dignity. In realizing the essence of women empowerment from Islamic perspective, this book is expected to be beneficial to academicians and policymakers to ensure the positions and rights of women by their genuine participation in diverse social activities. This outcome will create a positive impact on women's attitude and mindset which will encourage them to utilize their greatest potential in family affairs and social responsibilities
