A project report submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Foundation Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this report is to address the sustainability design of a building so that a green building can be achieved. Green building is important to our environment and to the health of living things. Successful green building is said to leave a lighter footprint on the environment by ways of conservation of resources and at the same time balancing energy-efficient, cost-effective, and low-maintenance products. We are addressing the existing structures in our institute to proceed for our project. The project begins with designing the buildings in the selected software(s) related to sustainable design. These software(s) enable us to create architectural drawings and do analysis of the resources needed by the building to become sustainable. In the later chapters of this report, the developments of the project are described.
