ABSTRACTS
In Brunei Darussalam, the type of motorcycle that are commonly used are the scooter. One of the reason why people choose the scooter category among the other motorcycles is because is the most economic and has the best fuel consumption rate. It is also have an easier maintanence. The next two types of motobikes that are popular are Sportbike and Easyride cruiser
The aim of this project is to investigate the aerodynamic effect namely the lift, drag and side force coefficient for the above mentioned selected motorcycle with and without body kits at different Reynolds Number and Angle of Attack.
Based on quantitive and qualitative experiments comparison will be drawn on the aerodynamic behaviour of the three selected motorbikes. The final bodykit pattern of the motorcycles will be concluded wether if it increases the drag or reduces the lift of the motorcycle.
