Abstract

As we age, our ability to keep our balance weakens, resulting in falls, A fall is unpleasant and painful at any age, but it may be disastrous for the elderly. Aging bones are more prone to breakage and mend slowly, regaining only limited mobility. Decreased confidence in one's ability to stand and walk alone may cause severe pain and a reluctance to keep active, which can have far-reaching health repercussions. Mobility aids may help them move more confidently and independently. Chronic illness and disability are worsened by less physical exercise. As a result, increased physical activity is an important strategy in the prevention and treatment of chronic disease. Exercise therapy is an important component of rehabilitation, allowing rehabilitation experts to address public health issues in their communities. Assisting the elderly to live a healthy lifestyle without stigma or prejudice is the focus of this study.

This project will analyse the needs of these individuals in order to design suitable mobility aids for the elderly using a survey. Additionally, the report will look at research that may support product development as well as design concepts created as a result of the project's studies and research. Following that, this design idea will be evaluated, and the concept with the highest rating will be developed further. For this project, a prototype was made and put through a number of tests, including FEA analysis and prototype test by Users.
