500 _aAbstract Brunei River is one of the busiest rivers in Brunei Darussalam. It is commonly used as a medium of transportation for people especially who's living at Kampung Ayer. Brunei River is also used as commercial, recreation and social life. Since Brunei River is important, we need to know how the tidal current of Brunei River is so that it does not affect the daily life of people living there. Previously in this project, delft3D software was chosen to predict the tidal current, river flow etc but unfortunately this software have problem. After meeting.our supervisor agreed to change software to Sobek software. Sobek software is a software that is used for flood forecasting, optimization of drainage systems, control of irrigation systems, sewer overflow design, river morphology, salt intrusion and surface water quality. From this software we can predict and determine the river flow by entering the data needed which will be explained further. This software can predict the tidal current at the downstream by using data from the upstream or vice versa. Nowadays, Sobek software is commonly used in worldwide especially country that always experience flood, high tide, tsunami etc.
