The fact that least information encompassing with this technology is not readily available nor accessible hence directing the purpose of this study for being conducted. A qualitative approach is being used in regards to assist comprehensive understanding upon the slow adoption. The interview session has generated three different perspectives encompasses of policymaker, solar companies and user to be explored as well as analysed. A total of five themes that comprises of awareness of solar energy, acceptance to technology, potential opportunities, barriers of adoption and drivers for adoption has been recognized in this study. This study found out that there is the low awareness upon the technology hence restrain the adoption among the general public. Likewise, the user does not perceive the technology to be useful nor easy to use. Yet, they do acknowledge the opportunities that can be derived from the technology. Several barriers that further delay the adoption are also being raised. Hence, by recognizing the barriers, this study also offers drivers that can facilitate the adoption of solar technology. Nonetheless, this study has added new knowledge in the field of solar technology, particularly in Brunei as not much material can be found.
