However, the construct of innovativeness personality characteristic was rejected and found insignificant results to influence startup intention of the university students for the three Asian countries; whereas for risk-taking personality characteristic had a positive significant influence on startup intention of Indonesian students only. Lastly, only Malaysian and Bruneian university students support the moderating role of intrinsic motivation had a significant influence on the relationship between attitude and startup intention. Hence, with the interesting findings of the study, this research proposes several recommendations for policy-makers, educators and academics to promote the business startups among Indonesian, Malaysian and Bruneian students. The result is expected to develop appropriate actions which can be recommended and explored to support and encourage their intentions for startup through formulation of relevant policies. The policies that are formulated and implemented effectively can encourage launch and growth of startups in the country.
