500 _aAbstract: As social enterprise is a new concept in Brunei, a study needs to be done on challenges that these social enterprises are currently facing as well as consumer awareness on the term as well as on the businesses, in order to help them maintain stakeholders' interests. This study found that transparency and effectiveness are one of the main components in order to increase consumers' confidence. A proper definition, guideline and legal documentation for the social enterprises are also necessary according to the social enterprises in order for them to be able to run their businesses accordingly.
